Why does my dog have orange seed-like specks and diarrhea in stool?

Pet's info: Dog | Beagle | Female | unspayed | 35 lbs

Good morning to whoever will read this, for the last couple weeks my 3 year old beagle has been having these orange specks in her stool that look like seeds but I can't properly identify them. They're usually accompanied with diarrhea making them even more alarming. Besides the difference in her stool there has been no other changes in her energetic behavior. Should I be concerned about her stool changes and take her to the vet or is it just something she's been eating that I should stop?

It looks like some kind of seed she may be eating. I would observe her carefully when she is outside and make sure she isn't unsupervised. I would get her seen by your vet and take them a sample of this so they can hopefully identify what it is. If the diarrhea accompanies this in her stool I also suspect the two are related.

It is likely caused by something she ate recently and I wouldn't worry too much unless she starts to have diarrhea, vomiting or decreased appetite or if you notice the feces are still orange-yellow present after a few days. My dog's poop has yellow seed-like things. What could it be?

The seed-like substances in Prince's stool could be due to a number of possibilities, including worm segments, pollen granules, sand, actual seeds, silica granules, among many other possibilities. Since this is an abnormal finding, I recommend taking a stool sample to Prince's vet so that a fecal flotation test can be run to determine if parasites are present, or if this is just a benign incidental finding. My dog has orange, squishy poop with rice. Could it be worms?

The rice should not have come out whole and undigested. What you were most likely seeing is tapeworm segments, which look very much like rice. If you can, bring a stool sample to the vet so they can analyze it. If it is tapeworm, you will be given a dewormer to use.

Yellow specks can be worm eggs or can be related to something he may have eaten but not digested. If his stool was not checked for worms due to the diarrhea, I recommend to have it checked for parasites. Best of luck

My dog has orange balls in poop like fish roe. What should I do?

That sounds odd. The only things that come to mind are tapeworm segments or something that Snowy ate like a toy or some sort of berries. Check his environment and his toys for anything that fits the description. Also you may post a photo of the orange objects. Lastly, if you suspect worms, call your veterinarian for medication. You are doing the right thing by feeding the bland diet, and I'm wondering if the sweat potato could be causing the color of his poop. Do not give him any more of it, and continue to watch his poop. If the color still occurs in his poop, he stops eating, he stops drinking, he vomits food or water, and/or he becomes lethargic, then I would take him into the vet. I hope this helps.
