My dog has orange, squishy poop with rice. Could it be worms?

That sounds odd. The only things that come to mind are tapeworm segments or something that Snowy ate like a toy or some sort of berries. Check his environment and his toys for anything that fits the description. Also you may post a photo of the orange objects. Lastly, if you suspect worms, call your veterinarian for medication. It does look like this could be undigested rice. If you are giving her a broad-spectrum dewormer that kills tapeworms on a regular schedule, then it should be keeping her free of those. If you want to be sure that she is free of parasites or if these spots in her stool continue, I would recommend having a fecal exam done. It looks like this could be a piece of a roundworm or tapeworm segment. I would recommend taking a stool sample in to be seen by a veterinarian so that the most appropriate treatment recommendations can be made. A dewormer is likely needed.

Hello and welcome to Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Little white pieces that look like rice are tapeworms. The tapeworms might be coming out because they are dying from the dewormer. Tapeworms are transmissible between species so your cat and yourself can get tapeworms. I would wash all the blankets in hot water, and avoid letting her sit in places where your face would go. The transmission to other animals is by eating the eggs/pieces of rice looking things that are coming out. Also, I would talk to your vet about getting another deworming dose, and make sure the product covers for tapeworms. Best of luck with Haylee.

The food change could be causing the color of the stool and the bad smell, but the rice sized things look like tapeworms. Tapeworms required praziquantel to treat, which is prescription only from the vet. You need to tell your friend to take him into the vet in the morning to get this treated. He will also need to be treated for fleas, as fleas carry and transmit tapeworms to dogs. Have her discuss his diet with the vet as well so he can get the best one for him. I hope this helps!

It could be a tapeworm segment, which look like a grain of rice. Praziquantel is needed to kill tapeworms, which is available by prescription only from the vet. I would take your dog into the vet on Monday. The vet can confirm she has tapeworms, and can give her Drontal to kill them (Drontal contains praziquantel).

If the white specks in his poo look like grains of rice or sesame seeds then it is likely your dog has tape worm. ask your vet to treat your puppy for the parasites he diagnosed via a fecal sample (if he has not done a fecal sample, take some fresh poop to your vet for a fecal exam). You may also want to start with flea prevention as tape worm is transmitted by fleas.
