Why is my dog not eating? Could my WFH routine or stress be why?

If Chewbacca is still active and drinking and not having vomiting or diarrhea, I would give him more time. Movin can be stressful and it isn't necessary for dogs to eat every day. I know you want him to eat but he may need to acclimate to the new place before he decides to eat. If he is acting ill, I recommend taking him to a vet to make sure nothing else is going on. I would also visit PetCo for Adaptil, a pheromone to help calm pets in stressful situtation. Talk to your vet about other behavior supplements like Composure or Zylkene. I hope this helps. Hello. I am so sorry for your worries with Stormi. This may very well still be an adjustment peroid for her. You can try warming her food a bit, & even hand feeding her until she seems more secure in her surroundings. You should also be very careful in the number of treats & amount of human food you are giving her. Dogs very rarely will starve themselves unless there is a medical reason for the loss of appetite, but it is easy to satisfy a small dog with even a few extra treats each day. I would recommend you make sure he does not go out unsupervised to avoid him getting in a fight with the other dogs as that can result in unwanted injuries. Do not let him notice the other dogs so that he does not get upset. If he continues to not eat, I recommend you have him evaluated by a veterinarian to check for any possible medical reasons to explain his lack of appetite. Best of luck!

The stress of moving and change in routine can certainly cause a decrease in appetite. I would try offer Remy's food in smaller amounts more often to give him a chance to eat when he feels like it and see if that allows him to eat a bit more. If he's otherwise healthy and acting normal, I would just keep an eye on him. If he starts to refuse all food, seems lethargic, has other symptoms such as vomiting or diarrhea, or seems ill, a vet visit is a good idea.

It can be difficult going from one place to another since Kane most likely doesn't understand. If he isn't eating I would recommend a physical to make sure there is nothing going on medically with him. If he is fine then I would talk to your veterinarian about how he is behaving. Apollo is so cute! He may have been stressed by the crate and exhausted himself while you were gone, hence why he wants to just rest now that you are home. I would just give it some time and monitor him closely. If he doesn’t want to eat later today or is still very lethargic tomorrow then I would have his veterinarian evaluate him. I would watch him for signs of vomiting or continued lack of interest in eating if he could have ingested portions of the shoes or furniture. and if he bounces back maybe he needs a gradual introduction to the crate where you start by just leaving him for short periods.
