My dog won't eat after moving, but eats treats. Is she stressed?

If Chewbacca is still active and drinking and not having vomiting or diarrhea, I would give him more time. Movin can be stressful and it isn't necessary for dogs to eat every day. I know you want him to eat but he may need to acclimate to the new place before he decides to eat. If he is acting ill, I recommend taking him to a vet to make sure nothing else is going on. I would also visit PetCo for Adaptil, a pheromone to help calm pets in stressful situtation. Talk to your vet about other behavior supplements like Composure or Zylkene. I hope this helps. I'm glad to hear that Bentley is still playful and acting normally, even though he hasn't been eating and drinking normally. It is possible that both the stress of leaving his sister and your family, as well as moving to a new home may be contributing to his change in appetite. You can try tempting him to eat with a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken and white rice for a few days (1.5 cups per day, divided into smaller meals). After a few days, transition to his normal dog food by mixing the two foods together over another 5-7 days. It may also be worth looking into calming pheromone collars or diffusers (Adaptil is one example - https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/dog/dog-health-and-wellness/dog-calming-aids/adaptil-adjustable-calming-dog-collar) to try to help Bentley's stress level. The stress of moving and change in routine can certainly cause a decrease in appetite. I would try offer Remy's food in smaller amounts more often to give him a chance to eat when he feels like it and see if that allows him to eat a bit more. If he's otherwise healthy and acting normal, I would just keep an eye on him. If he starts to refuse all food, seems lethargic, has other symptoms such as vomiting or diarrhea, or seems ill, a vet visit is a good idea.

I would give it a bit more time to see if he goes back to eating normally. In the meantime you may want to try giving him a probiotic just in case his stomach/intestines are bit uneasy. I recommend Fortiflora - it is by far the best probiotic. As a side note, I have no issue with people making home-cooked food but it is not balanced for a dog (ie: minerals and nutrients that a dog needs). You really need to get that sorted out. Hello. If Khloe is not eating, the first thing I would check is to make sure there isn't a medical reason for this vs. just sad from the move. I would recommend a vet visit for this. If they don't find anything, then I would just continue to give Khloe love, and lots of walks in her new location so she learns to have a positive feeling with the new location. If this is 'depression' for Khloe the increased activity and positive reinforcement should bring her out of it. Good luck!

However, it does not typically last more than a few days. If it has been longer already, I would encourage you to check in with your veterinarian again so that they can reevaluate Lupin to ensure that nothing has changed.
