My dog is sick, not eating/drinking 12 hours after vet. What to do?

It's a small improvement that he has eaten something and drank some water, and the IV fluids he got likely helped with any dehydration. When a dog is very sick, it can take a couple of days for them to regain their appetite. It sounds like poor Henneha is very sick, and you've done the right thing by having her seen by a vet. I'm wondering if she is fully vaccinated, and if she's not, it could be that she has parvovirus. That is very serious, and it would make a dog quite sick. You can try giving her Nutri-cal, available over the counter perhaps at your local pet store, and you can offer her small amounts of Pediasure using a syringe or small turkey baster. Poor girl. She may have an internal illness that is making her not want to eat. Since it has been more than 24 hrs I would encourage you to take her to your vet to get checked out. She may have an infection, organ malfunction, or a severe stomach upset from something she ate. She will likely need medications through your vet to help her get back on her feet. I am sorry to hear about Mia. If she is very lethargic/weak, has blood in the vomit, or has a painful abdomen then I think she needs to be seen by her vet right away. If she seems energetic then you can try removing her food and water and fasting her for 6 hours (no food, no water,no treats, no grass or things in the yard if she goes outside) and see if the vomiting stops. It could be Chloe has a severe stomach illness, may have eaten something rotten,could have a foreign body, or pancreatitis. It's very concerning that she has been vomiting and not eating for the past 24 hours. I'd have her seen by a vet now to have this diagnosed and treated. I hope this helps!

Poor appetite could be related to nausea, even if there is no vomiting, or inability to swallow, decreased interest in food, GI obstruction, or something else. If Sonu is still in good spirits, then I would wait a day or two to see if he will eat when he is ready.
