She is cute. She could have some allergies, especially if she is licking or chewing on her body, causing the redness and you could talk to your vet about trying an antihistamine to see if that helps. If it doesn't seem to be bothering her, you could also just monitor for a bit and see how it changes.

This is especially likely if Russell had started using a plastic food or water bowl in the last month. If so, switch back to ceramic or steel. There are also auto-immune diseases and allergies that can affect this area. If it is not associated with itchiness or discomfort, there is no need to be concerned about this. It would be easier for us give you advice if you could post some photos. I would not say this is "normal". Some rule-outs would be: 1. vitaligo 2. lupus (DLE) 3. Mucocutaneous pyoderma (MCP) 4. Pemphigus foliaceus (PF) 5. Cutaneous reactive histiocytosis (CRH) 6. Uveodermatologic syndrome 7. neoplasia As you can see the list of differentials is very long (and that is not all of them) so I suggest you get your dog to your vet for an exam so you can discuss steps for testing. I'm sorry Duke isn't feeling well. His symptoms (lethargy, decreased appetite, and slightly pink color) could be caused by a wide range of uses ranging from allergies, to endocrine disease, to serious metabolic issues. If his problems persist for more than 24 hours or if he's suddenly much worse, I would recommend taking him to an emergency room for evaluation. Best of luck to you and Duke

This requires actually a biopsy of the tissue. I do not see an indication for a biopsy based on these pictures. This is likely just a normal change in pigmentation and monitoring would be fine. If at any point, he develops inflammation or wounds in that region have him evaluated by a veterinarian then. Best of luck!

It does look a little irritated there. That could be caused by irritation from a muzzle or face halter, or could be regular allergies starting up. I would recommend keeping the area clean and dry, for now. If it's not getting better after 3-5 days, I'd recommend a vet visit to see if she needs most medicated wipes. It's common for young dogs to get superficial bacterial infections around their lips, which usually doesn't require oral antibiotics, but may require a topical treatment. I hope that helps!
