Why is my dog suddenly lethargic, not eating, and has pink skin?

Poor Duke! It sounds like he has a couple of things going it. First, it's very concerning that he is vomiting up water and not eating. He could have a severe GI illness, a foreign body, may have eaten something rotten, or could have pancreatitis. The rash could be due to a contact allergy. His symptoms of vomiting water and not eating are serious enough to require immediate medical attention. I would have Duke seen by a vet now to diagnose what is causing his symptoms so he can be treated.

Lethargy and anorexia (not eating) are very non-specific symptoms of illness meaning almost any sickness can cause these signs. They don't point to a specific problem. I suggest you have him to your vet for an exam and some blood testing to start with so you can find out what the underlying problem is.

I am so sorry to hear that your dog is so unwell. From what you are describing it sounds possible that he could have ingested a toxin, have a urinary tract infection, an infection of the prepuce, or an issue with his kidneys. Because he is so lethargic and not eating I would suggest a trip to the veterinarian as soon as possible to a diagnosis and appropriate treatment. If you can collect a urine sample to bring in that would be helpful. In the meantime you can try the following at home; Keep up fluids with; Pedialyte flavourless mixed with water 50/50 Low sodium chicken broth Encourage eating; Chicken boneless and cooked Low fat ground beef cooked Best of luck and ask any further questions you have here, we are here to support you. This could be a normal color change. However if it becomes very red, raw, ulcerated or crusted it could indicate an autoimmune disease or infection and then Duke needs to be examined by his veterinarian.

If she has pale gums then she needs to be examined by a vet immediately to determine the cause and treat, especially if she also has abnormal breathing. Please call your vet or go to an emergency clinic. She could have an infection, parasite, clotting/bleeding problem, hemolytic anemia, mass, etc. and may need immediate treatment.
