Why is my dog licking her nose non-stop for the past 24 hours?

Poor baby. Definitely looks red and irritated. It may need oral antibiotics or possibly just some topical antibiotics. I would call and schedule an exam and get the correct medications. The cause could be infection, allergies, immune mediated conditions, and more. Needs to be looked at a little more closely.

Sounds like Misty is feeling pretty rough! Just under the nose is a hard place to stop licking, as you can't use an Elizabethan (cone) collar to stop her from doing so. You may need to try to distract misty with a chew toy instead that she can put her energy into to help prevent her from licking the spot. if it is very raw and sore, you may also want to have your vet take a look to make sure there isn't an infection or other irritation that should be treated. Your vet may also be able to recommend a no-lick spray or bandage that may be suitable around the nose, as well. Avoid putting any home remedies on the spot, as it may just increase irritation which will increase licking and stop the area from healing.

I am sorry to hear about Hyper. If she is still active/energetic, eating and drinking well, and has no coughing or sneezing I would continue to monitor her closely at home. The runny nose could be a result of a mild upper respiratory infection (most often viral, occasionally bacterial or fungal), an allergy to something in the environment like pollen, or an irritant in the nasal passages such as a piece of grass or dirt. You can try placing Hyper in a room with a humidifier or bringing her into the bathroom while you run a steamy shower for 10 minutes to give her a steam treatment as keeping the respiratory passages moist is helpful in these cases. If Hyper becomes lethargic, stops eating, has trouble breathing, is coughing, or the discharge turns green/yellow then a visit to the vet is recommended. Best of luck to you and Hyper!

She could have an infection or possibly an auto-immune disease. Since this has been going on for 2 weeks, she should be examined by a vet to determine the cause and treat. She may need an antibiotic, anti-inflammatory, and other medications to help treat.

It is possible something has irritated Sista's nose or nasal cavities, or she has something irritating in her mouth or throat. Illness, obstructions, respiratory issues, allergen irritation, etc can all be possible causes. If she is pawing at her face, can't stop sneezing, or is having trouble breathing, seeking veterinary care in person immediately is best.

There is no way of knowing for sure without an examination though this represents a reason to seek veterinary care. This is usually determined with an examination and a fine needle aspirate (FNA) or a biopsy. Treatment depends on the findings up to that point. Poor Cooper! It definitely looks like something may be stuck in his nose causing irritation, or there is a build up of debris from a cold, etc. It's good that you have an appointment, as I would try to get him in ASAP to have the nose looked at and have your vet safely remove the item if there is one in there. Continue to keep the nose as clean and dry as possible, and prevent him from licking as best you can (hard when it's his nose) to help reduce any further irritation. If the area becomes super inflamed, changes rapidly, or is very bothersome to Cooper, I'd see if you can get seen sooner.
