My dog licked beer off the floor. Will she be okay or get sick?

Your dog licking a very small amount of alcohol should not cause him any serious harm, although depending on the alcohol content it may cause him to become slightly drunk. This can cause wobbliness/ataxia, lethargy, vomiting. If you notice any of these signs, he should be seen by a veterinarian. Otherwise, he should be OK, and I recommend requesting that your mom not leave any alcohol within Chewy's reach! I hope this is helpful!

This may cause some GI upset which may result in vomiting and/or diarrhea. If it is limited to a couple of bouts and she's back to normal in 12 hours or so, you don't need to worry. Just keep an eye on her for the next 12-24 hours, and if she develops vomiting or diarrhea that is severe or continuous, or if she becomes increasingly lethargic, seek emergency care.

Had should be okay, you may notice he starts to salivate quite a bit, but it doesnt sound like he ate too much. Keep an eye for signs of an upset tummy and if he seems very poorly take him to the vet.

A little bit of beer on his paws shouldn't cause a problem especially as you cleaned them. But you're right to be concerned as alcohol poisoning can occur in pets. But as big as he is a slight exposure shouldn't be an issue.

It is likely that she will be ok as there is likely not enough garlic in the amount she licked to cause serious life threatening side effects. You may see vomiting or diarrhea, but this should resolve after 24-48 hours. Hello, thank you for your question. Labs can be so mischievous! Based on your description I think that your dogs should be ok. If dogs ingest a large amount of alcohol they can experience side effects. However I believe that the small amount should not cause sever symptoms. I would recommend monitoring your dogs overnight, if at anytime they became unsteady on their feet or weak I would have them seen by a veterinarian. Hope this helps, good luck!

Because we do not know what the other animal was vomiting it is always possible that they could become ill (for example if the other animal had ingested a toxin or had a virus). That being said, there isn't really anything you can do right now for your dog other than monitor him closely. If he begins acting lethargic/weak, has vomiting or diarrhea or anorexia, or begins having trembling/muscle tremors or acting drunk/ataxic, then I would recommend seeking veterinary care. Luckily most of the time, however, dogs do not get ill in a situation such as this.
