My dog licked another animal's throw up on a walk. Will he be okay?

This may cause some GI upset which may result in vomiting and/or diarrhea. If it is limited to a couple of bouts and she's back to normal in 12 hours or so, you don't need to worry. Just keep an eye on her for the next 12-24 hours, and if she develops vomiting or diarrhea that is severe or continuous, or if she becomes increasingly lethargic, seek emergency care.

Unless a dog oes this every day, it is unlikely that it will affect it other than possib;y giving the dog diarrhea or making it vomit also. As for any rest alcohol, there probably isn't enough to damagee the dog or make it drunk.

There is a bacterial infection that is spread through the urine of wildlife, livestock and infected dogs. It is known as leptospirosis. As long as your dog has all his vaccines and they are kept up to date, he won't get deadly diseases such as parvo, distemper, or rabies from your mother's dog. There could be another reason why your dog isn't eating or drinking, and has thrown up. He could have a GI illness, may have eaten something rotten, could have a foreign body, or could have pancreatitis among other causes. Given that he has drank water and if it's stayed down, I can give you a home remedy to try to see if that helps. Withhold food for 12-24 hours, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in his normal diet. If the vomiting continues in the absence of food, he vomits the bland diet, develops diarrhea, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, he will need to see a vet right away. Slugs are not toxic dogs, so there is not much to worry about with him licking the guts. It may not be the cleanest source of food, but dogs are quite resilient to eating dead and rotting things, so there is little chance of this causing a digestive upset. There are also some cases where slugs can have certain worms that can be transmitted to dogs, but this is not common and unlikely to be transmitted this way.
