Why is my dog lethargic with bloody discharge and hip pain?

Hello. You do not say where the discharge is coming from, but in all likelihood, there is some infection going on. Definitely, take him to your vet tomorrow as soon as you can. He is a pretty young dog, so if he has to wait till the evening, then I'm OK with that. He will probably require antibiotics, but Jude should perk up soon. I am so sorry to hear that your dog is so unwell. From what you are describing it sounds possible that he could have ingested a toxin, have a urinary tract infection, an infection of the prepuce, or an issue with his kidneys. Because he is so lethargic and not eating I would suggest a trip to the veterinarian as soon as possible to a diagnosis and appropriate treatment. If you can collect a urine sample to bring in that would be helpful. I'm so sorry to hear Jack is so sick. There are many reasons for these signs including infection, trauma, orthopedic issues, digestive issues, and internal organ problems so Jack really needs to see a veterinarian so he can be examined. An veterinary examination will help reveal what is the cause of his discomfort and he can be started on the appropriate pain medication. Thank you for submitting your question regarding Oddie. I recommend that he sees his veterinarian. Bloody discharge is worrisome especially as it has continued to occur. His veterinarian will ask more detailed questions and may recommend laboratory work to determine the source of the bleeding. You can take pictures as well as this may help. The bleeding could come from vomit, nasal discharge, diarrhea or from his urinary tract. Regardless, he will need treatment. I hope this information helps!

Diarrhea can be observed with conditions such as colitis, gastroenteritis, dietary indiscretion, intestinal parasites, among many other possibilities. I recommend that you have Peach evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Further diagnostics would include abdominal imaging and lab work. Lethargy, inappetence, weight loss, nasal discharge and abnormal breathing sounds sometimes can be observed with an upper respiratory infection (think of it as a sinus infection just like humans get). Sometimes it is severe enough that it travels to the lower respiratory system (lungs) and causes pneumonia. Whining could potentially be associated with this while penis discharge is likely a separate issue. I recommend that you have Honkey evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Bleeding from the penis can have various causes: Xander could be suffering from a UTI, an inflammation of the prostate, penis or prepuce or a tumor. Since he is not eating and lethargic it is likely something that causes him pain and he may have a fever. You can carefully push back his prepuce (foreskin) and then inspect his penis for injuries or growths, or to see where exactly he was bleeding from or is still bleeding from. If he is still bleeding you should take him to an emergency room this evening. If it stopped bleeding but he stays lethargic or will not eat his breakfast tomorrow morning or if you find injuries on the penis , then you should call your vet for an appointment.
