My dog is hoarse, lost bark, breathing heavy, and not eating. What's wrong?

My dog sounded hoarse two days ago. Today has lost his bark, breathing heavily and not eating food

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Gizmo. I recommend that he sees a veterinarian today. An upper respiratory tract infection can lead to a loss of voice and a decrease in appetite. The heavy breathing is worrisome though and can indicate a more serious problem. The veterinarian will examine him and listen closely to his lungs. If the lungs do not sound normal, x-rays of his chest may be warranted. I hope this information helps!
