My dog won't eat, is coughing and sneezing. Should I take him to vet?

Sneezing as a sole symptom is not an emergency, and his vocalizing during sleep may have been related to a dream. However, the vomiting multiple times has me more worried, and warrants a vet visit - particularly since it's coming on the heels of his respiratory changes. Hope this helps!

It sounds like an upper respiratory infection. I would recommend having Riggs evaluated by a vet since he is so young. Sometimes these infections can be bacterial and quickly wiped out with antibiotics. Others could develop into coughing or pneumonia.

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Tisoy! If he has a cough, a fever, isn’t eating then he should see a Vet immediately. He is so young that I worry he may deteriorate quickly. I suspect pneumonia based on your post. If he has pneumonia he needs fluids and antibiotics. You can syringe water and 2-3 times per day put him in a steamy bathroom for 10 mins and do chest courage. But he really needs veterinary care. I hope this helps and I wish Tisoy the best!

There are a variety of causes for what you are describing, including an upper respiratory infection, tracheal irritation, asthma, allergies, or another underlying issue. As they are persistent and non-resolving, I would recommend Cooper be evaluated by his regular veterinarian to try to determine what may be going on, have any necessary testing done (xrays, etc) and start a treatment plan if needed. Hello. If your puppy's symptoms seem pretty stable, & she continues to eat & drink normally, then it will be OK to wait a couple of days to have her seen. But if things worsen, especially if she stops eating or develops any diarrhea, then see if you can have her seen tomorrow.
