My dog has a green pus spot near his penis. Should I be worried?

I don't think you need to freak out about it. It does not look concerning. It may just be a plugged hair follicle or a small cyst. I suggest you use these medicated pads on the affected area once or twice a day. If after a week or so, if there is no improvement, then he should see your vet. I think its reasonable to monitor it for a few days; if it is not resolving, get him in to see your vet. Also place an Ecollar on him to prevent him from licking at it. If he starts to have any trouble urinating or if the spot is getting bigger, or is appearing more red and inflamed, or it it starts to bleed, take, him in ASAP. A certain amount of discharge, especially in intact male dogs, may be normal. This discharge is known as smegma. Take him to your regular vet when they open for an examination and diagnosis. They will be able to provide appropriate pain relief and treatment.

This location is a little unusual for a pustule like this - if it isn't bothering your dog I think you could probably monitor for a few weeks and warm compress probably would not hurt. If your dog is licking or seems uncomfortable, or if you've noticed a change in urination, I'd recommend seeing a veterinarian.

It is normal to have a small amount of discharge coming from the prepuce. However, if it is so excessive you are having to clean it every few hours, this is not normal. Your dog may have a preputial infection or a bladder or prostate infection. I would recommend taking Pluto to the vet to be checked out. He may need a course of antibiotics and/or a special antibacterial flush for his prepuce. In the meantime, continue to keep it as clean as you can and prevent him from licking as much as you can. I am not sure what this area truly looks like. I would try picking hip up with back against your stomach and chest and having someone else snap the photo of his genital area. If there is green discharge and pain then he likely has an infection. Hydrogen peroxide should be stopped immediately, because in pets this can actually cause the normal cells to die off on the skin. You can try using Betadine diluted 50:50 with warm water or Chlorhexidine 3% diluted with water to antiseptically cleanse the area. Soaking him in a warm water Epsom salt bath for 5-10 minutes can also help alleviate some irritation and inflammation. I would also visit your local pet store and purchase an e-collar to place on him so that he can't continue licking the area and causing further irritation and pain. Hopefully this will help maintain him until he is seen by your vet on Monday. Poor guy. I wish you all the best and hopefully the vet can clean the area well, flush out any debris or foreign material that may be lodged in the penile sheath, and then place him on medications (i.e. antibiotics, anti-inflammatory medications) to help resolve this.
