My puppy is foaming, biting, disoriented. Rabies, seizure, or toxic?

HI, I am sorry to hear about your dog. While this MAY be rabies, it most likely is a different type of disease. I can be a primary problem with the brain, another type of infectious disease, or related to internal organ dysfunction. I would highly recommend having your dog evaluated by your veterinarian to try and determine the cause of the seizures and get him on medication(s) to help prevent/stop the seizures from occurring.

From what your are describing it seems to be a seizure and I would recommend to have Pommerian checked by your veterinarian as soon as possible. Make sure she didn't ingest anything she shouldn't have (i.e. human medication, herbicide, detergents,...), if you find something suspicious bring it with you so the vet can check it. If she isn't vaccinated, rabies is also a major concern especially for your health so please be careful and and take her straight to your vet.

Poor girl. These symptoms are highly suggestive of a toxin or drug intoxication. If this has been going on for more than 15-20 minutes duration, then I would highly recommend taking Bella Rose in to your local vet for a proper exam, diagnostic testing to hopefully pinpoint the problem, and treatment to help stabilize her condition. IF she did ingest a toxin, then the vet wil lhave to detox her quickly to help prevent any permanent damage on her organ systems, and also to prevent further absorption of the toxin in her gut. Another possible cause for these symptoms is a pyometra (spontaneous uterine infection). This can happen at any time in non-spayed female dogs and leads to septicemia which can cuase similar symptoms invvolved in a toxin ingestion. Tihs is also considered to be a serious condition and should be treated for as quicikly as possible by your vet. I hope that your fur baby Bella Rose is able to make a full and speedy recovery. I am very sorry to hear about Best, but it sounds like he truly needs veterinary care as soon as possible. I would be concerned about an allergic reaction but also it is concerning that he has drooling and shivering with aggression. This makes us very concerned about the possibility of rabies or canine distemper. He should be seen right away by a vet to examine him and try to determine what is going on and if he can be treated.

Oh dear! This sounds extremely serious - your dog may be having a seizure, or may have a serious illness or ingested something toxic. I'm afraid there is really nothing you can do at home for a problem this serious, so the best advice I can give you is to take your dog to the nearest veterinarian immediately. I would be concerned that he may die without immediate veterinary care.
