These seizures are unlikely due to rabies given the time frame and the fact that the dog is normal between episodes. Once a dog is seizuring from rabies, they do not return totally to normal between episodes and the disease progresses rapidly over the course of 2 months. Other causes of seizures include epilepsy, brain tumors, and infections in the nervous system. A veterinarian can help differentiate these causes and prescribe medication to help control the seizures. It is still important to have all dogs vaccinated for rabies.
