My pit bull's eye is turning blue-grey. Is it normal for older dogs?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | American Pit Bull Terrier | Male | neutered | 100 lbs

I have an 8 to 9 year old pit that I adopted from a shelter 5 years ago and I noticed in the last few days the part of his right eye is turning blue grey. But he can still see and it doesn't seem to bother him. No watery eyes or scratching at it

This could be a normal pigment change with age. If you could post a picture that may help identify what exactly is going on. However if his eye is normal, he's not squinting, no tearing, no discharge then it's likely a normal change for him.
