My dog chewed a Brillo Pad. Should I worry if he didn't swallow?

If she seems like she is irritated in the mouth you can rinse it with water (turn her head sideways and stream water through sideways, so that you are not pouring water into her mouth that she could get into her airway). Otherwise just provide lots of fresh water for her to drink. Best of luck with Bella!

The material on the toothbrush may cause irritation in the mouth so I would recommend rinsing his mouth out with water for starters. Hello. I think Stark will be just fine, especially if she did not puncture the bottle or lap up any spilled contents. This solution would be pretty nasty tasting & a little irritating, so if you have not noticed any drooling or salivating at this point, then she will be fine. Hi there. It's very possible that the pad may pass through his system without causing any problems, especially if he chewed it into pieces first. Or, he may vomit it up on his own. The biggest concern would be that it might become stuck in his intestines and cause an obstruction. Symptoms of this problem would include repeated episodes of vomiting, not eating, acting lethargic, and not having regular bowel movements. If any of these symptoms are seen, then you should take him to the vet right away for an exam and x-rays. But as long as he's acting normal (eating and drinking, no vomiting), you shouldn't need to worry. If he does develop any problems, this would likely happen within the next 2-3 days - so after that, you should be able to relax.

Hello, at his point, I would not be too concerned. Most times, the rawhide will continue to be digested. If Jack does not have much of an appetite tomorrow morning, just try feeding him a little later in the day. If, however, he starts vomiting, refuses all food, gulps water & vomits afterwards, or seems painful or bloated, then get him to your vet quickly. I have never liked giving any kind of rawhide to pets. Give him more appropriate items to chew such as Nylabones & Kong toys where you can hide food, & just about anything else that a dog can gnaw on without the possibility of breaking off & swallowing whole pieces. Hello. If the bleach was pretty diluted in the water, then I would not be too concerned. Feed Mila 1-2 slices of white bread & this should dilute whatever is in the stomach further. If he continues to show discomfort in the next few hours, I recommend you have him evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Otherwise, he is likely going to be fine.
