Can I give Capstar and Advantix together? Revolution vs. Trifexis?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | American Cocker Spaniel | Female | spayed | 5 months and 9 days old | 13 lbs

I just received answer from Linda G DVM. Sophie is 11.6 odd not 111 as typo on profile. Can I still give her a Capstar and the topical drops Advantix now until redose is due? Can she change to revolution at 6 months instead of Trifexis? Then just add heartgard?

Yes you can give Capstar and Advantix at the appropriate dose simultaneously, if no other medications were given in the last 14 days at least.
Revolution cover for heartworm so it is not necessary to cover Sophie with heartgard (and actually it is not indicated).
