Is it safe to give my dog Interceptor and Revolution together?

Yes, you can give both products at the same time and Charlie will likely do fine. If you want to be extra cautious, separate them by two days. Neither product had activity against ticks. If ticks are a concern where you live, you can switch the products to something like Simparica for fleas and ticks and the Interceptor for heartworms and intestinal worms. BUT if this is the first time giving one or both of the drugs then I would give one at a time 2 days apart in case one causes a problem. Then if there are no issues give them together next month. Hi yes you can use both treatments on Daphne but i suggest separating the application by two weeks. You can also consider using a product like Proheart6 - an injectable heartworm prevention given at the vet hospital that lasts for 6mths. I find that revolution works well for fleas, but doesn't cover all types of ticks. Hope this helps!

Yes you can combine them as they are completely different types of medication. Seresto contains Flumethrin (tick repellent) and Imidacloprid (interferes with the development of fleas and their larvae). Revolution is an avermectin which kills internal parasites such as heartworm and intestinal worms and actually kills fleas.

Hello. I would err on the side of safety & separate these products by two weeks. Some dogs have a gene mutation called MDR1 that can cause a problem if more than 1 medication is administered too close together. It is ok to give trifexis and simparica together (staggered by 2 weeks is great). Both of those medications will protect against fleas so there is some overlap with that. If you want to streamline how many medications you are giving Dakota monthly, Another option would be to use sentinel or interceptor instead of the trifexis and give with that with simparica monthly. These products contain the same heart worm preventative (milbemycin) as trifexis but do not contain any medication to kill adult fleas. (Trifexis contains both the milbemycin for heart worm prevention and Spinosad for fleas). That way you would be giving one medication for heart worm prevention (sentinel or interceptor ) and one for flea and tick prevention (simparica). Another option is to continue trifexis and add in a tick collar (such as the preventic collar or the seresto collar). I know there are so many products and options it is confusing ! Yes, at appropriate dosages these can be combined together. It is dependent upon the type of active molecule given. In this case Nyntenpiran (Capstar) can be given in combination with selamectin and sarolaner (Revolution).
