My dog has cancer. Could it be causing her eye to swell, bleed, leak?

It looks like Skylar's third eyelid is elevated and irritated, and there is significant swelling of her eyelids. I would recommend seeing a veterinarian as soon as possible. She could have an infection of her eye or a scratch on the surface, or even a puncture of the eye if there is a large amount of watery fluid.

I strongly recommend you seek referral to a specialist ophthalmologist, it looks like there may be increased pressure or glaucoma which is very painful. It may be rarely associated with tumors but there are many other possible causes

I would highly recommend taking her to a vet as soon as possible. Bleeding in the eye can be due to local trauma to the eye but also can be connected to underlying disease like toxin (rat poison), bleeding disorders, cancer, high blood pressure or infectious disease. I would be very concerned in an older dog with enlarged spleen that the blood in eye is related to this. I would recommend x-rays of the body and blood work to look at organ function and platelet count. Also, taking sassy to an ophthalmologist would be in her best interest

It's impossible to tell you what is going on with Daisy, but the most common cause of a dog squinting and rubbing their eye is a corneal ulceration. Corneal ulcers are often relatively easy to heal, but become worse the longer it is before they are treated, so I would recommend having Daisy evaluated by your vet ASAP. Hello, Soffie has hair loss around her eye but I cannot visualize the eye itself. The hair loss may be secondary to mites. In order to find out. Soffie needs to have her skin scraped and her eye examined. You will need to follow up with a veterinarian to have this performed. Please apply an E-collar to prevent her from scratching more.

I'm glad to hear that Fli does not seem bothered by the lesion on her eye. Your thinking is likely correct in that when Fli's blood pressure increases with excitement, blood rushes to the lump, causing it to become red. Possible causes of the lesion on the sclera (white of the eye) include a conjunctival cyst, benign or malignant mass, among others. Cancer, or malignant masses, seem less likely due to a slow rate of growth, but are certainly not impossible. I do recommend taking Fli to her vet in the next week for an exam to determine if further diagnostics or intervention are needed, or if continuing to monitor the lesion for changes is the best course of action.

The ends of the incision look infected and very painful. She should be rechecked right away for medication for pain and swelling and further antibiotics. She may need some parts opened and drained and flushed to help minimize the infection. If the tumor was cancerous and it was not completely removed, then there is a change the cells are angry and irritated and growing again from inflammation. Try to apply a warm compress and keep the area clean until you can get her in.
