Dog's tumor surgery site swollen again. Is it infection or cancer?

Pet's info: Dog | Golden Labrador | Female | 5 years and 7 months old | 55 lbs

I have a labradore of 5 yrs female. She had a tumour which was removed by a vet 15 days earlier but i think she is having hard swelling again on 1st and last stiche. please suggest me is this an infectious cancer or what it is and how it will be treated please tell me as early as possible cause she is having weakness plus swelling on the whole left leg

The ends of the incision look infected and very painful. She should be rechecked right away for medication for pain and swelling and further antibiotics. She may need some parts opened and drained and flushed to help minimize the infection.
If the tumor was cancerous and it was not completely removed, then there is a change the cells are angry and irritated and growing again from inflammation. Try to apply a warm compress and keep the area clean until you can get her in.

A swelling on her stomach beside the incision is most likely a seroma, which is just a fluid filled sac. These resorb on their own over time. As long as the swelling isn't hot, painful, and she is acting normally, just get it checked in a few days.

If she is acting weird or sick, and if the swelling is hot or painful, get her to the ER.

If I read this correctly your dog's leg was swelling to this size within a few hours. If your vet took x-rays and found bone lesions then there is indeed a possibility of bone cancer. However only a biopsy of the bone or the tissue of the swelling will prove that there is cancer. Without the possibility of examining the leg myself I can only give you possibilitites of why there is a swelling: 1) Check for puncture wounds or an injury. this could be a peracute infection of the joint. 2) this may be an injury of the joint such as a fracture or tendon injury, You should take your dog back to a veterinarian for an exam, especially since this is painful.

Why is my dog's neck swollen again in the same spot? Is it cancer?

Thanks for the pictures! At 5 months of age (nearly 6!) I doubt very seriously this is cancer, but if an abscess was in this location and is now back it suggests to me that whatever caused the abscess is still there. It's likely that he's going to need a bit of surgery to explore and drain the area. There may be some plant material or other foreign object stuck there, deep under the skin.

This sounds more like an area of infection. Bone cancer usually doesn't have a warm swelling to start, and an infection does. With cancer the bone itself would be painful. Usually with bone cancer you see a lameness before any visual changes. Do bring him in for an exam when you can. He may need antibiotics if this is an infection. My dog has swelling where a thyroid tumor was removed. Is it back?

It is a possibility the cancer returned, but just based on looking at the area alone, there is no way to know that. I would say not to worry about Rusty yet because we don't have all the information. I recommend taking him to your vet so they can stick a needle in the area to determine the cause of the swelling. If it is cancer, they can discuss the next steps and his prognosis. Kisses to Rusty!

My dog's incision is red and oozy after surgery. What should I do?

This does look very moist and like an infection is starting. If your veterinarian sent home any pain medication, make sure to continue using it as directed. If you didn’t get any, make sure to get some tomorrow morning along with some antibiotics. You can use hydrogen peroxide or warm soapy water to gently dab on the area and then gently pat it dry. Apply some topical antibiotic ointment or cream such as Neodporin or Neosporin Plus which has topical lidocaine. Make sure the cone stays on as he will want to lick or bite at this. Try to get in to your vet first thing in the morning for a recheck.
