My 43 lb puppy was prescribed 250mg Azithromycin. Is this dose safe?

My dog was prescribed Azithromycin 250 mg. Is this dose too much for a 43 lb puppy

Thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach with your question about Binnie. You can give a dog up to 5mg per pound of body weight as a dose, which is 215mg. This is a little above, but it should be fine. I would not worry. I hope this helps!
