My eight week old puppy picked up a wasp in her mouth - we pulled it out immediately and have been watching her for swelling but an hour has passed and she is normal still. How long would an allergic reaction take to show up and when can we be okay with leaving her alone not under observatiob?

You would probably see the signs of an allergic reaction in an hour or two - watch for facial swelling, redness around the eyes or muzzle, and hives. If you notice these signs you should see a veterinarian right away. Fortunately anaphylactic reactions are very rare in dogs, but signs of anaphylaxis would include difficulty breathing, severe vomiting and diarrhea and/or collapse.
