My dog ate Tresaderm. Will she be okay or need immediate treatment?

At worst, you may see some GI upset (vomiting and/or diarrhea). If this happened recently, you can rinse her mouth with cool water for at least 15 minutes then dry her thoroughly. If she vomits once or twice yet is behaving normally, you can try withholding food for 24 hours then feeding a bland diet for a few days. Transition slowly to her regular diet afterwards. In the meantime, monitor for lethargy, persistent vomiting/diarrhea, loss of appetite or abdominal pain. These are symptoms that would need to be addressed by a veterinarian at the nearest veterinary ER.

He will likely be just fine after ingesting this. Just monitor him for the next 24 hrs for any stomach upset symptoms (vomiting and/or diarrhea). If it was half of a 15g bottle, then the dose should not be too harmful, but it's difficult to know for sure. Hi there. Trifexis has a very wide margin of safety (a dog could eat an entire box and not have any serious issues, in most cases), so it's unlikely that this will cause any problems. The most likely side effect would be vomiting or GI upset, in the first day or two after taking the meds. If she's acting normal so far, you probably won't see any issues at all. It's fine for her to continue with her normal daily routine as far as eating, exercising, etc.

If he just ate them, you can take him into a vet now to have vomiting induced to get them out. Otherwise, you can watch him. This likely will cause GI upset in the form of vomiting and diarrhea. If you see that, have him seen by a vet. Best of luck.

Side effects that could be caused by this type of intoxication are mainly gastrointestinal like vomiting and diarrhoea.
