My dog ate sushi scraps from the trash. Is soy sauce or wasabi safe?

Fortunately, licking a bit of soy sauce or wasabi should not cause any significant problems for Snickers. Ingesting a large amount of soy sauce could cause sodium toxicosis, but a few licks should not pose a concern. Wasabi can cause some mild gastrointestinal upset. It may be worth offering Snickers a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken and white rice for the next few days to err on the side of caution. The only other possible concern would be the risk of food poisoning if the sushi scraps were in the trash for more than a few hours.
