My dog ate store-bought sushi. Is it safe for dogs to eat sushi?

No, it's not safe to feed your dog uncooked salmon. Raw salmon can contain parasites and/or bacteria that can be harmful to dogs, and so they should never be fed raw fish. You may give it to her cooked, and make sure all of the bones are removed. I would only give her a small amount, as new foods can cause GI upset in dogs.

Fortunately, licking a bit of soy sauce or wasabi should not cause any significant problems for Snickers. A very small amount of peanut butter would not be toxic as long as it doesn’t contain any xylitol. It is pretty calorie and fat dense so I’d limit the amount offered. Same goes for a single sardine. Remember to keep treats 10% or less of Poochini’s diet.
