My dog ate human puke and dish soap. Is she going to be sick?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

My dog just ate human stomach virus puke, and watered down dish washing liquid that we poured on it outside. Is she going to get the virus for eating that or get bad sick?

Most human viruses cannot infect dogs, so that isn't a concern. Eating dish soap can cause upset stomach (vomiting or diarrhea) but it shouldn't last more than 24 hours. If you notice vomiting or diarrhea that last longer than 24 hours, I would have Snowball examined by a vet.
