If the vomiting persist or there is bloody diarrhea, then you need to go to an ER clinic tonight. You can take her food and water away for the next 4-6 hours and let her stomach rest. Start back with a small amount of boiled chicken and rice or ice and see how she handles that or if she wants it. If she has no appetite or lethargic still by morning, then go to your regular vet.

As long as there are no bite marks, and the branch and leaves have not been chewed on, Gabby should be ok. The leaves are the poisonous part of the plant, and it's most important she didn't chew on any of them or ingest them. I would rinse her mouth out with water to be safe, however. If she did ingest any part of the plant, you will see acute GI signs (vomiting, drooling, diarrhea, anorexia) within 15 minutes to several hours afterwards. Should you see any of those signs, take Gabby into a vet immediately.

Oh dear! It's common for puppies this age to eat things like this that they shouldn't, unfortunately. You're right that it's possible for pieces of the mask to get stuck in his intestines and cause an obstruction, but they may also pass through his system without any problems at all. As long as he is acting normal (eating and drinking fine, active and playful, no vomiting, and pooping regularly), there shouldn't be any reason for concern. If he stops eating, or begins to vomit or act lethargic, then I would recommend taking him to the vet for x-rays to see if he may have an obstruction - if so, surgery can be performed to remove the blockage at that time. But as long as he is not showing any symptoms, there is no need for any kind of treatment :)

I would recommend monitoring for any signs of trouble. This likely will pass on its own since it is so small and pliable. If he starts vomiting (both food and water), has a decreased appetite, becomes lethargic and has little to no stool production, then it is best to get him seen by your vet for a possible issue. The main things to watch out for would be GI in origin initially (decreased appetite, vomiting, diarrhea, dark stools). Because this toxin can also cause liver failure also watch for a yellow color to the skin/eyes/urine and abdominal distention. If anything concerning is noted call your vet right away. Hopefully if the ingestion was small your guy will be fine but it is a scary plant. Did your vet provide you with liver support medication? And GI support medication? If the ingestion was so recent i usually recommend recheck bloodwork every 1 to 2 days initially as changes can be delayed. If the liver enzymes were already mildly elevated i would consider rechecking them before a week (1 to 2 days after initial documentation). I am sorry to hear about Comet. If you think your kitty may have eaten Sago Palm, a visit to your vet right away is recommended. This plant is toxic and can have serious effects on the liver. Your vet may decide to induce vomiting or give activated charcoal to decrease the absorption of the plant and then may start liver supportive medications/supplements or check liver values to be sure we aren't seeing any effects on that organ.
