My dog carried sago palm inside. Is it poisonous if not chewed?

It's good that his labs came back normal, and he was in IV fluids. Yes if he only a couple of small pieces, it can be normal to send him home after treatment and not keep him overnight. Mother in law's tongue could cause oral irritation or vomiting, but I would expect you would have seen signs by now if Katie was going to be affected. There would be no lasting effects. The main possible toxicity effect of frangipani tree is Stomach irritation and skin rash, the licking of the mouth is probably because it's causing him to feel sick. in most cases symptoms would resolve within a few hours but if he starts to throw up and looks lethargic i would recommend taking him to the vet to get treatment.

Poinciana plants can be toxic to dogs. It can cause drooling, vomiting, diarrhea, in-coordination, liver, and kidney damage. If your are positive she only ate a small part and it has been two hours without any abnormal signs then she might be fine. The safest thing would be to have her examined by a vet for a physical examination and determine if any treatment is needed. Your vet could run lab-work to evaluate her liver and kidneys and then prescribe medications to treat, if needed.

I am sorry to hear about Comet. If you think your kitty may have eaten Sago Palm, a visit to your vet right away is recommended. This plant is toxic and can have serious effects on the liver. Your vet may decide to induce vomiting or give activated charcoal to decrease the absorption of the plant and then may start liver supportive medications/supplements or check liver values to be sure we aren't seeing any effects on that organ.
