My dog ate raw Pillsbury biscuits. What symptoms to watch for?

I am sorry for the late response. The website was experiencing a delay in posting questions. Croissant dough can potentially cause a foreign body blockage in the intestines. Since I see it has been more than the recommended time frame to induce vomiting (< 2 hrs), I would recommend monitoring Bubba for any signs of an obstruction, which includes: excessive vomiting (even water), lethargy, lack of appetite, and scant (few) feces). If you notice any of these symptoms then it is best to have him evaluated by your local veterinarian. You can take him on 20 minute brisk walks to help stimulate GI motility and feed him canned food for now. Hopefully he passes these with ease and only has mld GI symptoms (some vomiting or diarrhea). If you notice GI symptoms, then its best to give him a bland diet of boiled plain chicken and rice or cottage cheese for a few days (in small amounts), and then slowly transitioning him back to his normal diet. Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I think Bubba will be fine as long as the rolls were cooked and it wasn't raw bread dough. I would skip dinner tonight and limit water to sips. Feed normally tomorrow. If he ate raw bread dough he would need to go to the emergency room. Good luck!

Raw oats will be hard for your dog to digest, and you may see GI upset such as vomiting and diarrhea. There is also a concern of bloat if your dog ate a ton of food. Keep a close on your dog, and if you see a bloated abdomen, restlessness, pacing, excessive drooling, vomiting, trying to vomit but can't, or anorexia, have your dog seen by a vet immediately. Bread is generally speaking ok, but can cause occasional diarrhoea. If that is the case, as a first approach, I would suggest to start feeding with a bland diet based on boiled chicken and rice in small portion every 6 hours for the following 48hours. Then gradually reintroduce the normal diet over 5 days. I would definitively recommend a veterinary check up if the signs persist or you notice vomiting, lethargy or inappetence.

You should definitley monitor him for any abnormal signs like bloating, vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, or abdominal discomfort. They might pass through with no problem but he could get some gastritis/enteritis from eating so many at once. Have him examined by a vet if you notice anything abnormal.

This can cause pancreatitis in a small dog such as your Puppy. If he starts excessive vomiting and has a stomach ache then bring him in to your veterinarian immediately for treatment. Dogs are scavengers so he could be fine. I definitely would monitor him closely and seek veterinary care right away to prevent a serious problem if he seems ill. Hi there! There are a couple of risks associated with eating a pound of raw beef. Aside from general GI distress, dogs, like humans, can contract foodborne illnesses, such as E.coli. Pancreatitis is also a consideration, as that much meat could potentially be a lot for the gut to handle, especially if it's not lean. I would keep a close eye on Brooke for signs of stomach upset, such as vomiting, diarrhea, and lethargy. I also strongly recommend calling your veterinarian in the morning for further advice. If any symptoms develop, you should bring her to the vet right away for treatment. I do not recommend giving her anything over the counter at home without a vet's advice.
