If Rambo has any vomiting, diarrhea, pain, weakness or belly swelling he needs to be seen by a veterinarian. These signs could occur as soon as 6-12 hours after eating the meat up to 4-5 days later. So if he's normal in a week he will likely be ok. Continue to feed him normally unless he starts having any of those changes outlined above.

Most often this is self limiting and a bland diet for the next 3-5 days should allow his GI tract to rest. You can offer a bland diet and observe him at home, if his vomiting continues or gets worse, he becomes more lethargic, or develops other signs such as diarrhea then he should be evaluated by his veterinarian. The bacon may cause stomach upset (vomiting or diarrhea) or, more seriously, it can cause pancreatitis (due to the fat content). The biggest problem with a bigger piece of something swallowed is that it could remain stuck in the esophagus which can be dangerous. Typically signs of this are excessive swallowing/gagging, drooling, acting restless, decreased appetite, etc. If it was fully swallowed then it may or may not upset his stomach (decreased appetite, vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy). If you become concerned that it may not have been fully swallowed or if he is acting off then a visit to your family vet is in order.
