My Labrador ate a 250mg Keppra pill. Is this dose dangerous for him?

Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | unneutered | 4 months and 21 days old | 38 lbs

Pet ingested 250 mg Keppra pill. Labrador 35-40lbs, it was not his medication.

Hello. We do use Keppra in dogs, & this would have been a bit on the lower dosing side, so I would not be concerned. A potential dangerous dose would need to be at least 10 times this much. You might notics a little decreased alertness for a couple of hours, but not much else. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
