If Dubs is 35 pounds and may have ingested 1200 mg of ibuprofen, this would be about 75 mg/kg - so yes, he would be at risk of developing some serious problems. I would recommend taking him to the vet today for an exam. The veterinarian may recommend checking some lab work to see if there is any evidence of bleeding in his stomach, and will probably prescribe medication to help protect his stomach lining for the next few days until the ibuprofen is out of his system.

Hello. You do not say what strength the ibuprofen was, but a 50 pound dog can take about 225 mg every 12-24 hours. Toxicity may be seen if your dog ingested around 568 mg. Hello. Ingesting ibuprofen over 25 mg/kg can cause significant gastrointestinal signs. Sable ingested the equivalent of 33mg/kg, so she could have some issues.
