My dog might have eaten ibuprofen. When should I call the vet?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Male | unneutered | 3 years and 4 months old | 18 lbs

I was on the couch and my dog started hiccuping and i saw a ibrupofen pill on the floor, i think he may have tried to eat it, should I take him to the vet?

I would check the rest of the packet to see if he has eaten any others - simply having one in his mouth but not ingesting/swallowing it would not cause any significant effects (other than oral irritation if he chewed into the bitter center) but if such a small dog did consume whole tablets there would be a potential for toxic effects and rapid decontamination would be recommended
