my dog ate a small piece of lamb marinated with garlic..should i be concerned?

If only a small piece was ingested there was likely not enough garlic to cause any problems. If you notice that Lou begins to develop any symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea, inappetance, etc. Then I would recommend having a veterinarian examine him so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. My dog ate spaghetti with garlic. Should I be worried about toxicity?

1/2 of a tsp of garlic powder or 2 whole garlic cloves would potentially be toxic if ingested, so if you think that it is possible that the spaghetti had that amount in the bowl you should see an emergency veterinarian. Otherwise there is no concern. Garlic and garlic powder tend to be more toxic if ingested consistently over a long period of time; it generally takes a lot to cause toxicity if it is a one time ingestion.

I'm sorry to hear that Chief got into trouble today! The amount of garlic you are describing should not cause toxicity for a dog as big as Chief. Just keep an eye on him for any tummy upset (vomiting, diarrhea, off his food) or lethargy, and if these occur have him seen by your veterinarian.

My dog ate chicken with garlic & onion powder. Should I call the vet?

This may result though in gastrointestinal upset. Watch your pup for symptoms consistent with gastrointestinal upset such as vomiting, inappetence and/or diarrhea.
