My 75lb dog ate a salmon burger with garlic. Will he be okay?

It would takes a fair amount of garlic powder or whole garlic to cause a problem, much more than what would be sprinkled on a single tilapia filet. Even if Rosie ate more a single one time ingestion is usually not as serious as consistently eating garlic over time. The spices or the fish could potentially cause some stomach upset, so if Rosie is vomiting or if she develops diarrhea I'd recommend contacting your veterinarian.

Dixie will probably be just fine. It takes quite a bit of onion and garlic to cause clinical signs of toxicity - for a 40 lb dog the toxic dose would be 20 grams of onion or 5 grams of garlic. Both onion and garlic cause destruction of red blood cells leading to anemia. Onion and garlic powder can be more concentrated than the raw vegetables and therefore more likely to cause a problem, but I doubt there would be enough of either in a tuna sandwich. We also tend to see more problems when small amounts are given frequently rather than a single one time exposure.

I wouldn't expect the amount that would be on a small sub sandwich as a topping to be enough to be a major issue. It's possible that you may see some mild GI upset (vomiting or diarrhea) over the next 24 hours, especially if Bear isn't used to eating human food like this. But I would not expect to see any serious problems.
