When can I feed my dog after he ate a dryer sheet and didn't vomit?

If he is acting sick, then do not feed him, supply water only if he does not vomit & get him to the vet as soon as you can. But if he seems fine, he will most likely be OK. If Vito does not pass it in the next 8 hours a check up would ideally needed, as this could have caused an obstruction. I would definitively recommend a veterinary check up earlier than 8 hours if you notice diarrhoea, vomiting, lethargy or inappetence. If she threw up everything she ate, I would just keep an eye on her. You can also pick up her food for a few hours then offer a bland meal of boiled chicken and rice to help with any GI upset. Signs that something more serious is ongoing can include additional vomiting (beyond the peroxide), bloody vomit or diarrhea (that may indicate GI irritation), sore, painful abdomen, or attempting to vomit or have diarrhea without success. If you do see these signs, bringing Vega into your vet for care is best.

Withhold food for the next 12-24 hours. Allow small amounts of water or unflavored PediaLyte. Resume feeding a bland diet in small, frequent amounts. Begin with 1 tablespoon of food every hour and gradually increase the amount if there is no vomiting. Feed bland until symptoms resolve then transition slowly back to his regular diet. A small bit of plain toilet paper should pass on it's own without issues. Monitor for persistent vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, loss of appetite or abdominal pain. These are symptoms that should be addressed by your veterinarian.

The dryer sheet doesn't have any toxins that could hurt your dog and if only a small piece is missing, this should pass through his intestinal tract without trouble. Keep an eye out for drooling, vomiting, loss of appetite, or general lethargy. If anything like this happens, get him in to see your vet right away.

I'm glad that Machin is doing better after being so sick! It is recommended to withhold food when a dog is vomiting. I'm not sure when Machin last vomited, but I would wait at least 12 hours from the time he last vomited before feeding him again. I would then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in his normal diet. If he starts vomiting again on the bland diet, then I would take him back into the vet.

I would wait a couple of hours before feeding him again. Give his stomach time to calm down. If he doesn't vomit again, give Milo a small amount of food and wait 20-30 minutes.
