My dog ate a nickel-sized chocolate brownie. Should I be worried?

Please repost if baker's or semi sweet chocolate, that is much more toxic. We would need Drib's weight and the amount, in ounces, that he could have eaten if it was Baker's or semi sweet chocolate. But that amount of cookies could cause tummy upset or pancreatitis. If Mulan starts vomiting, having diarrhea or won't eat then make an appointment with your Vet. I hope this helps and good luck!

I see he's a good sized dog at 55lbs, so chances are eating this cookie is not going to cause him any problems. At most, you may see some GI upset, but I wouldn't be surprised if you don't see anything at all. It can take up to 24 hours for signs of chocolate toxicity to occur, so monitor him over this time period. Do not let him get ahold of any more cookies! I hope this helps!

The toxic dose for milk chocolate is about 5g per each pound of body weight. So, your Stella would have to eat about 70g of milk chocolate before we would recommend any treatment. She should be fine, I don't expect she will develop any concerning symptoms at all

Therrnis it likely enough chocolate in that to cause any toxicity however it can cause some GI upset such as vomiting and diarrhea over the next 48 hours. If you notice that then I would take her to the vet

She could have tummy upset from the other parts of the biscuit so feeding her a bland diet for a few days isn't wrong. I wish you and Trixie the best!
