My dog ate chocolate biscuits. Is she in danger of poisoning?

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Since Mulan is 75 lbs there is likely not enough chocolate in the cookies to cause toxicity. But that amount of cookies could cause tummy upset or pancreatitis. If Mulan starts vomiting, having diarrhea or won't eat then make an appointment with your Vet. I hope this helps and good luck!

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. I don’t see anything overtly dangerous in them, though the green tea could have a little caffeine. In general, it probably didn’t hurt Cocoa but it’s not the best choice for a treat. Stick to dog treats in the future- especially if you’re not sure what something is because there are few things that are very dangerous to dogs (xylitol, macadamia nuts to name a few). Toxicity is based on type of chocolate and the weight of the amount eaten. Watch fro tummy upset: vomit, diarrhea, lethargy, not want to eat. I wish you and Moose the best!

You can try to calculate the exact amount of chocolate in the donut and call your local emergency clinic and they can tell you over the phone if the amount is toxic or not, but it is unlikely to be. Otherwise watch for vomiting, diarrhea, tremors, seizures, hyperactivity. If these occur get her to a vet right away. These are unlikely to occur however. Best of luck with Pixie!

I see he's a good sized dog at 55lbs, so chances are eating this cookie is not going to cause him any problems. At most, you may see some GI upset, but I wouldn't be surprised if you don't see anything at all. It can take up to 24 hours for signs of chocolate toxicity to occur, so monitor him over this time period. Do not let him get ahold of any more cookies! I hope this helps!
