My dog ate cat poop out of the litter box and I’m assuming he ate some cat litter as well. Do I need to take him to the vet? What signs should I watch for?

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach!
Eating the stool of other animals can cause an upset stomach or the dog to contract intestinal parasites. Also the litter that is mixed with cat poop can cause a blockage if they ingest too much. I would use a cat door for the cat to use to get to it's litter box. Have it a size that the cat can get through but not the dog.
Good luck!
