My dog ate apple seeds. Are they toxic? Should I induce vomiting?

Lychee seeds are large and can cause cyanide intoxication (like most seeds), she is quite small so even one seed could potentially cause a toxic reaction. if this happens in the past 2-3 hours i would recommend taking her to the vet in order to have an injection to induce vomiting, better safe than sorry.

Hi, I would not worry about inducing vomiting.. as this could prove quite risky in itself in a Chihuahua. I don't think this second acorn should cause harm, I would keep an eye on Louis and make sure he does not eat any more. If you notice any vomiting, diarrhoea or lethargic have him checked over. Apricots and the pits can be toxic (cyanide poisoning) but a dog Reggie's size would need to ingest many pits at once to get close to a toxic dose of cyanide. Clinical signs of toxicity would be expected rather quickly if a toxic dose was ingested, so if no signs after a few hours of ingestion then he is likely fine. I would certainly try to prevent him from eating these though. Number one, they are toxic and, number two, the pits can cause a blockage in the intestines which would require emergency surgery to correct. Oh no, that was naughty of Junior! Cocoa is toxic to dogs, but it depends on how much was in the donut as to whether or not it leads to toxic symptoms. In looking up the ingredients, I see that it contains less than 2% of cocoa, so the amount in this little donut is not likely to cause toxic symptoms. Junior should be ok, but keep an eye on him for now. To be safe, you can take him into a vet to safely induce vomiting. I don't recommend inducing vomiting at home. That's because hydrogen peroxide (which is used at home to induce vomiting) can and does cause severe esophagitis and gastritis, often worse than the initial problem, so it's always preferred to advise emergency care. Take him into a vet now to induce vomiting.
