Hi, it looks like these puppies could be Chihuahua x shih tzu. It is impossible to tell for sure 100% if they are just a cross between these breeds or if there is a small percentage of other breeds in there but there is definitely some chihuahua and some shih tzu as far as I can tell ! This may be normal for the puppy, or could indicate that it has hydrocephalus, which is common in Chihuahuas. I would recommend that you have Lil Boy checked out by a vet, who may be able to tell you if his head is normal or not, as well as check for other congenital abnormalities. Your puppy does look like it could be a chihuahua, but it's absolutely impossible for me to say if it is purebred or not just by looking at a picture. Chihuahua are typically healthy dogs but a few common problems associated with the breed include patella luxations, collapsing trachea, and dental disease. The best thing would be to have him examined by a vet for a check-up to identify any abnormalities. I also recommend having him neutered.

As you mentioned, it’s a bit of a guessing game to determine the dogs breed based on pictures alone. However, Chappie, Candle, and Jimmy look most like Chihuahua mixes to me. There are DNA tests available, such as Wisdom panels, but nothing is 100% accurate. Regardless, they’re adorable!

This really depends on the size and build of the dog - with mixed-breed dogs like this, genetics can be very unpredictable! :) Instead of focusing so much on how many pounds he weighs, I would recommend looking at his body condition. Ideally, you should be able to feel his ribs fairly easily when you run your hands down his sides, and he should have a visible waistline or "abdominal tuck" just behind the rib cage. If you can't feel his ribs or he doesn't have a waistline, he probably needs to lose some weight. If his ribs and hip bones are visibly sticking out, he's probably a bit too thin and should gain a bit.
