Why does my senior cat have grayish bubble-like growths on his eyes?

The picture did not attach, so I do not have that information, but we commonly see eyelid margin tumors in older dogs. These are most commonly benign meibomian gland tumors. Hello. In terms of your cats, the first one with the eye getting bigger than the other really needs to be seen by a vet as soon as possible. Glaucoma is a very serious condition and in order to not lose vision in the eye you want to treat it right away. This is also a very painful condition. The other cat, with a bump that looks like a zit, could just be a sebaceous cyst. It is always best to get it checked out, however if it isn't growing or changing, or causing your cat issues, you can monitor it for now and have it seen at your next appointment with your vet. I can’t say for sure but it looks like there may just be some fur in his eye. Try to close his eyelid and see if you can get it to move around. If not then I worry it is something on or inside his cornea like an ulcer and I would have your vet take a look at him. ypur vet will be able to flush his out if needed and start him on the proper antibiotics. Common causes of cloudy eyes include corneal ulcer/abrasion, dry eye, conjunctivitis, viral infection, glaucoma, uveitis, among a few others. Common causes for increased third eyelid exposure include allergies, dehydration, eye pain or light sensitivity. If this is a sudden change, I recommend that Marshmallow be evaluated as soon as possible as a few of these eye issues can get drastically worse very quickly. It is also likely that Marshmallow is very uncomfortable and could benefit from appropriate eye medications or pain medications.

This sounds like a corneal edema. This can be caused by intraocular disease, such as glaucoma or uveiti. It may also indicate breed-related endothelial dystrophy or age-related endothelial degeneration, which would be genetic defects.

Poor Sunny! Since the lump seems to be changing the orientation of his eye, this indicates that it is either occupying space within his skull or is putting pressure on the cranial nerves going to the eye. Possible causes of lesion include a benign or malignant mass, abscess, fungal infection, among others. Even though Sunny seems comfortable, this type of lesion is likely causing some degree of discomfort or pain. Animals are generally pretty good at masking signs of pain as a natural defense mechanism. At this point, I recommend taking Sunny to his vet for evaluation and treatment of the underlying issue. Can you please post again with some photos? I have no idea what is going on without seeing the lesion. All I can say without seeing it is that Pepper needs to see a vet. Eye issues can be very painful and serious.
