What's this clear bubble on my 8-month-old cat's eye? Is it serious?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Hello! My cat who is about 8 months has what looks like a clear sort of bubble on his eye and I’m not sure if it’s something serious or if there’s just something in his eye. Any idea on what it is?

I can’t say for sure but it looks like there may just be some fur in his eye. Try to close his eyelid and see if you can get it to move around. If not then I worry it is something on or inside his cornea like an ulcer and I would have your vet take a look at him. ypur vet will be able to flush his out if needed and start him on the proper antibiotics. I hope this helps!
