Is my kitten's yellow poop & vomiting normal after distemper shot?

He should have fecal testing, blood work and x-rays of his abdomen to determine the cause of his vomiting and inappetance. Kittens can react to deworming medication, but it is typically a short lived reaction. It worries me that he is still ill. There is likely another another disease process present. If he's acting normal otherwise (eating and drinking fine, no vomiting, etc.),. then it should be okay to just monitor for now. If it doesn't resolve in the next 2-3 days, or if he develops any other symptoms such as vomiting or not wanting to eat, then I would recommend having him checked by your vet to make sure nothing else is wrong.

This can be normal! You can see some vomiting after getting vaccines and given that Faelan only vomited once, I would not be too worried. Plus he sounds like he is otherwise acting normally. I would keep an eye on him and if you see protracted vomiting, diarrhea, signs of an allergic reaction (facial swelling, difficulty breathing, then I would be worried and rush him into an ER vet immediately. This should subside within 1-2 days. The vomiting could certainly be due to other reasons like gastroenteritis. Hi, I'm sorry to hear Panda is having problems. Vomiting and diarrhea can be something simple like sensitivity to food or something more serious like a disease called panleukopenia. Vomiting and diarrhea is never normal in a kitten and should be investigated by a vet. Once the vet gets him healthy, then he can get his vaccines. he will need his FVRCP vaccine (which usually starts at 3 months), then a booster vaccine three weeks from that date. He should also be tested at the vet for feline leukemia and dewormed. Good luck, I hope this helps!

I’m sorry Luna is so sick. It sounds like she needs to see a veterinarian very soon. Young kittens do not have much reserve and can become dehydrated very quickly. Please take a fresh poop sample with you when you go to the veterinarian. They will likely want to look for intestinal parasites and possibly do some blood work to look for panleukopenia. Vaccines can give a kitten diarrhea for a day or two afterwards, and it's a good since that he is otherwise acting normal. It could also be that he has intestinal worms, and I would make sure he is up to date on his deworming treatments. Panacur is a brand I recommend to give to kittens, it's a three day course of treatment you can get OTC from a pet store or your vet's office. You would have to give Henry a second course of the treatment two weeks after the first ends to kill all the worms. He should then be dewormed every month until he is six months old, and then every three months thereafter. If he is up to date on his deworming treatments and the diarrhea doesn't clear up in 48 hours, then I would take him into the vet for an exam. You can try feeding him a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) in small amounts to see if that helps as well. If it does help, continue the bland diet for a couple of days, and then start slowly adding back in his normal diet. I hope this helps!
