My 2-month-old kitten is suddenly sleepy and not drinking water. Is she sick?

It sounds like poor Olive is sick. Anorexia and lethargy can be signs of many illnesses such as a systemic illness, infection, inflammation, or injury. It's actually quite serious when a cat isn't eating, and I would take her into the vet as soon as possible. The vet can diagnose the cause of her symptoms, and can treat her for it. Poor Willow! It does sound like she isn't feeling well. It would be best to bring her to a vet ASAP to check for issues such as a foreign body from eating any kitty litter, GI upset, illnesses, etc that could be causing the symptoms you are seeing, especially if this has been ongoing for more than a day.

Kittens can sleep a lot, but if she is very listless I would be worried that she is ill and should be seen by a veterinarian right away. Starvation and dehydration can very quickly cause a kitten to go downhill which could be why she is so lethargic and requires medical care. She may also be younger than you suspect and still need additional care. Poor Meredith! Lethargy is a very general sign of illness in cats, and it can be caused by systemic illness, infection, inflammation, or injury. Given that she is eating and drinking as normal, I would monitor her for now. If she is still lethargic in another 24-48 hours, I would have her seen by a vet. Should she stop eating or drink, or develops other signs such as vomiting and diarrhea, I would have her seen by a vet right away.

Since you cat’s behavior has changed so abruptly I would recommend taking him in to the vet to be checked out. He may have an underlying infection or virus causing his symptoms or may have intestinal parasites, which isnfaily common in young kittens.
