Why is my 11-week-old kitten sleeping all day, lethargic, not eating?

This could also be normal in a kitten as they are not always very active at that age. It sounds like he is getting sick. Without additional clinical signs it is hard to say exactly what is causing his lethargy and decreased appetite but he could be starting with a respiratory virus or a gastrointestinal virus. He could also have parasites that need to be treated. If it continues than he should be examined by a vet to determine the cause. Your vet can run lab work to help diagnose and then determine the best way to treat. If he is unvaccinated, please discuss a vaccine plan with your vet once he has recovered from this illness.

Poor Willow! It does sound like she isn't feeling well. It would be best to bring her to a vet ASAP to check for issues such as a foreign body from eating any kitty litter, GI upset, illnesses, etc that could be causing the symptoms you are seeing, especially if this has been ongoing for more than a day.

Anorexia (not eating) and lethargy are symptoms of many different illnesses, so without more symptoms, I can't pin down what might be causing her to act this way. I can say that any sudden change in behavior from the normal should be investigated your vet because there might be a medical cause behind it. In this case, I think it would be a good idea for your cat to see a vet, and I recommend taking her into your vet's normal business hours for a health check. Your vet would be best to determine if there is a medical illness, and how best to treat it.

Congrats on your new kitten, but I'm sorry Eloise isn't doing well. Yes, I would be very concerned that she isn't eating. When cats do not eat going on 72 hours, they develop a fatty liver. A fatty liver is fatal without treatment, so anorexia in cats is considered serious. While bringing home a new cat is stressful for the existing cat, it typically does not cause severe lethargy and anorexia. I would be concerned that Eloise is sick, and I would take her into a vet today for a health check. I hope this helps!

Since Coco got her vaccinations a week ago they are probably not the cause of her symptoms. I would be concerned about an injury or wound in the front paw that she is favoring. Oftentimes when a cat is ill or injured, or just not feeling well in general, they will stop eating and become lethargic. If this behavior continues for more than 24 hours then I would recommend taking her in to your vet to be checked out.
