My kitten fell from two floors and bled. Does he need a vet visit?

Kittens are pretty resilient, & we often see these heart stopping accidents with absolutely no serious effects to the cat or kitten. If the kitten seems comfortable, no difficulty or abnormal breathing, then he should be fine. I would recommend Brownie see a veterinarian today to be sure she hasn't sustained any injuries that are not directly obvious, such as a head injury, just to be on the safe side. Sometimes injuries may not be noticed at first after a traumatic event such as a fall from a window, even if they land on their feet, so I would recommend Brownie get looked at by a veterinarian today if possible. I would have Miss Kitty seen by a vet now. Young kittens are very fragile, and and I'm concerned that she took a hard fall and now just wants to be sleep. She needs to be checked out to be safe. Please take her into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. The information to reach that vet is found on a clinic's answering machine or website.

Take your kitten to a veterinarian as soon as posdible in the event of trauma like this. Many things can happen including broken bones, damage to the lungs, lacerated organs, etc. Many times they fall on their faces and have facial or jaw fractures. A full exam will be performed and xrays will likely be recommended. Hopefully your kitten is okay and some pain medication can be prescribed. Poor Angel! She needs to be seen by a veterinarian as soon as you can. Eye injuries should never be left to see how they progress. Vision can be lost very quickly without appropriate care. I am also concerned that Angel may have some other injuries that are not visible-the trauma needed to induce bleeding in the eye like she has could also result in significant head trauma and broken bones. Your vet will perform a thorough physical exam, including looking in Angel's eyes. There likely will be eye medications dispensed, and if your vet has concerns about head trauma they may recommend Angel stay at the hospital for monitoring or even special medications for brain swelling.

It is hard for me to tell you what is going on without examining your kitten. There is the possibility for internal trauma from a fall that high in a very young kitten. I would recommend that you keep a close eye on her. I would be more concerned if the cough continues or worsens for 72 hours, or if she is not eating or panting more than normal. Keep her as still and calm as possible so that her body can heal. Kittens can heal very quickly if you can manage to let them do it!

I would take Hova into a vet now to be checked out. She's quite small, and she could have some internal injuries from the fall. She needs to be examined by a vet to make sure she is ok. Best of luck.
