Kitten fell hard, now sleeping a lot and not eating. Vet needed?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 12 days old | 0.5 lbs

I have a 3 week old kitten that took a hard fall a few hours ago. She has just wanted to sleep. She isn’t bleeding. Her limbs are fine and nothing appears swollen. Her pupils are also even and not enlarged. She didn’t want to eat at her last feeding, but I got her to eat most of her formula. Should I just let her rest?

I would have Miss Kitty seen by a vet now. Young kittens are very fragile, and and I'm concerned that she took a hard fall and now just wants to be sleep. She needs to be checked out to be safe. Please take her into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. The information to reach that vet is found on a clinic's answering machine or website.
