My cat fell from a high place. What to do for a cat after a fall?

I would recommend Brownie see a veterinarian today to be sure she hasn't sustained any injuries that are not directly obvious, such as a head injury, just to be on the safe side. Sometimes injuries may not be noticed at first after a traumatic event such as a fall from a window, even if they land on their feet, so I would recommend Brownie get looked at by a veterinarian today if possible. Oh dear, poor Meow! Since she is not moving, eating or drinking, my main concern is that she has experienced significant trauma in her travels, either from a long fall or being hit by a car. These traumatic events can cause major head trauma, rib fractures, or internal injuries that can be quite severe and painful. At this point, Meow needs to go to an emergency vet immediately for evaluation and treatment. I hope this helps and that all goes well!

It is hard for me to tell you what is going on without examining your kitten. There is the possibility for internal trauma from a fall that high in a very young kitten. I would recommend that you keep a close eye on her. I would be more concerned if the cough continues or worsens for 72 hours, or if she is not eating or panting more than normal. Keep her as still and calm as possible so that her body can heal. Kittens can heal very quickly if you can manage to let them do it!

Poor little Coffee! It sounds like he suffered some trauma from this fall, and if he fell two floors, having him seen by a vet now would be fast. He is a young kitten, and they can be very fragile, and it's always recommended to have any kitten or cat checked out after a trauma to make sure there are no internal injuries. In my opinion, it would best to take him into a vet for a health check just to be safe. I hope this helps!

Kittens are pretty resilient, & we often see these heart stopping accidents with absolutely no serious effects to the cat or kitten. If the kitten seems comfortable, no difficulty or abnormal breathing, then he should be fine. If you notice any difficulty walking, coughing, bleeding from mouth, nose or rectum, please see your veterinarian immediately. Hopefully, Coffee will be fine. Take care.

I would take Hova into a vet now to be checked out. She's quite small, and she could have some internal injuries from the fall. She needs to be examined by a vet to make sure she is ok. Best of luck.

Ouch! Poor kitten! Please take the kitten to a veterinarian as soon as possible. They are delicate and when stepped on a broken bone or internal trauma can happen. At the very least a veterinarian can prescribe pain medication. Please remember, there are no safe over the counter pain meds for cats or kittens.
